Mabel Irene Gaspar, 100, passed away at Valley Gardens Care Center in Stockton on Saturday, Jan. 16.

She was born on Nov. 19, 1909 in Half Moon Bay. She attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Escalon, and had been a resident of Escalon for 87 years.

She enjoyed her flowers and garden and loved going for a ride to get a milkshake.

Survivors include her half sister, Nita Davis of Stockton; her half brother, Edward Vieira of Carmichael; and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Gaspar; her son Billy Gaspar; her parents John and Belmedia Vieira; and her three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 21 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon. Rosary/Mass will be held on Friday, Jan. 22 at noon at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Escalon.

Burial will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Patrick's Catholic Church Building Fund, 19399 East Highway 120, Ripon CA 95366.
