Lucille Marie Oliveira, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014.

She was born on March 27, 1925 in Vallejo, CA.

She worked seasonally at Hunt Wesson Cannery, and was a full time housewife and mother.

Survivors include her children, Manuel Oliveira III and Cathleen Chapman, both of Escalon; grandchildren Joseph Oliveira of Missouri, Michael Chapman of Escalon, Robert Oliveira of Modesto, Alicia Smith of Escalon and Amanda Morey of Modesto; five great grandchildren; and siblings, Diana Carmen of Scotts Valley, Carl Nunes of Modesto and Raymond Nunes of Yountville.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 65 years, Manuel F. Oliveira. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 24 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin St., Escalon.

Graveside service will be Monday, Aug 25 at 10 a.m. at St John’s Catholic Cemetery.
