Loren 'Lorn' Ross Marshall, 62, passed away on July 8, 2009 of natural causes.

Born on Nov. 26, 1946, he was born and raised in Escalon.

He served as a Green Beret in the Army Special Forces between 1967 and 1971. Following his service in the armed forces, Lorn resided in Greenville, SC as an artist and craftsman. He established a business, Fanglasstic & Friends, where he specialized in custom stained glass windows and wind chimes. Lorn returned to Escalon in 2004. He loved people, pets, and family, and was a friend to all he met.

Survivors include his father, Ross E. Marshall of Escalon; his mother, Jean Robinson of Alsea, OR; his brother, Gary Marshall of Escalon; two sisters, Gwen Bruneau of Alsea, OR and Wendy Cedars of Leesville, LA; as well as nieces and nephews.

He was loved and cherished by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14 at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon, CA.

Arrangements were made by Deegan Funeral Chapel.
