Lillian McDonald, 92, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Escalon.

She was born on Feb. 2, 1920 in South Dakota.

She had many joys in life, including gardening, and being active in her church, but her grandchildren meant the world to her. She was a teacher in South Dakota for a few years, and she also had great pleasure in making shirts and embroidering them for her family. Lillian was involved in WCTU, and she really cherished reading her Bible. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend and will be forever loved and missed.

Survivors include her children, Gerald McDonald (Marie), Dale McDonald (Linda), Rodney McDonald, Timothy McDonald (Charolette); and her grandchildren Megan McKeever, Josh McDonald, and Jillian McDonald.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Howard L. McDonald, and her brothers Alvin Zumbaum and Gilbert Zumbaum.

Deegan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements

A Memorial Service was held Friday, June 29 at Deegan Funeral Home, Escalon with a graveside service at Burwood Cemetery.
