Katherine Ann Collins, 93, passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013.

Born July 15, 1920, she was a gracious and kind woman, many called her mom and she embraced that with open arms. She was full of life and love and you felt that when in her presence. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include three children, Kathie Von Williams of Escalon, Keith Collins, Kolleen Jackson of Riverbank, and a daughter-in-law, Sally Mitchell; four grandchildren, Jamie Rupe and Kenneth Smith, both of Escalon, Valerie Collins and Kenly Mitchell, both of Modesto; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Collins; son Kenneth Collins Jr.; and grandson, Gary Lynn Smith.

Funeral arrangements are by Deegan Funeral Chapel, where a visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 17.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 11 a.m., with burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Katherine Collins Memorial Fund at Organized Labor Credit Union at 2112 McHenry Ave., Modesto, CA.
