John Gary Strand, 29, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 12 in Brentwood.
He was born April 3, 1981, in Hayward, CA and at one time lived in Escalon.
Mr. Strand loved his children more than anything in the world. He enjoyed writing and producing his own music. He had a way of touching hearts with his unconditional love and generosity, as he would give someone in need the last penny he had.
He had an undying devotion to God and his children and will be remembered for his silly laugh, his hilarious humor and his generous heart. He is the apple of his mother's eye. The love of his life, Alesha Gartner, cherished every moment of the last year of his life.
A trust fund has been established for his children's education. Donations may be made through Sandra and Kara Strand and Alesha Gartner.
Survivors include his parents, Sandy Strand and John Strand; children, Ashleigh Strand, April Strand, and John Tyler Strand, all of Patterson; sister, Kara Strand of Manteca; nieces, Constance Belger and Candyce Belger, both of Manteca.

Visitation was Friday, Aug. 20 at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, Aug. 21 at Northgate Park, Manteca.
