Janet Elaine Shelton, 83, peacefully passed away at her home in Escalon, surrounded by her loving family. Janet was born to Daniel and Angie Brandon on July 22, 1936 in Gilroy, CA. Jan was a prankster, always loved a good laugh. Not only was she a fun loving person, Jan had such a caring heart, she was a hard worker and very loyal to all. She was a fabulous daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandma, nana and friend. Jan was known for her love of animals. She would take in stray and injured birds, turtles, squirrels and of course CATS! She will be greatly missed.
Jan is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Oliver Shelton, her children, Marcie Rich (Steve) of Jamestown, Mark Arnold (Bev) of Escalon, grandchildren, Jennifer Henry (Chris) of Oakdale, Jessica McWhirter (Joel) of Ripon, Justin Reed (Jeannie) of Newark and sister, Maxine Bugg of San Jose.
Deegan Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Shelton family. Memorial services for Jan will be announced at a later date.
