Jacob "Jake" Weeda, 54, of Escalon died Wednesday, Jan. 19 at Memorial Hospital in Modesto.
Born in Rotterdam, Holland, he had lived in Escalon since 1958. He was co-owner and operator of Weeda Dairy in Escalon for many years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed working on his dairy.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Mary Weeda of Escalon; mother, Hazina Weeda of Escalon; children, Angela Smith, Jacob Weeda and Ashleigh Weeda, all of Escalon; siblings Bill Weeda of Arlington, Washington and Elly Rampoldi of Ripon; and two grandchildren, Katlyn Smith and Haley Smith, both of Escalon.
Visitation was Sunday, Jan. 23 with a memorial service on Monday, Jan. 24 at Christian Reformed Church in Escalon. Burial was at Burwood Cemetery, River Road.
