Iona Mae Rosalie Dilley Himes, 88, of Oakdale died Friday, Jan. 30 at her home.

A native of Kansas, she lived in Oakdale for 67 years. She was a psychiatric technician for the State of California for 20 years. She belonged to the Community United Methodist Church, Escalon Historical Society, Knights Ferry History and Museum Associates and Order of Eastern Star Summit Chapter.

She is survived by her children, Janice Himes of San Francisco and Karen Harter of La Paz, Mexico; sister, Leona Turner of Hayward; brother, Norval Dilley of Cloverdale; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Himes.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. at Community United Methodist Church, Oakdale. Private burial at Burwood Cemetery, Escalon.
