Florence Ellen Van Dyke, 94, of Escalon died Sunday, Aug. 2 in Modesto.
She was a native of Alabama. She lived in Oakdale 40 years prior to moving to Escalon over a year ago.
Mrs. Van Dyke was a licensed vocational nurse for 18 years.
She is survived by her husband, DeLoyd Van Dyke of Escalon; daughter, Nina Siler of Santa Maria; stepchildren, Jeff Van Dyke of Tennessee, Genese Dufur of Modesto, Dennis Van Dyke of Oakdale, and Lee Van Dyke of Kentucky; sister, Geraldine Driver of Washington; brother, Odell Bower of Washington; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 at Oakdale Family Church of the Nazarene. Private burial at Lakewood Memorial Park.
