Eva Mae (Throckmorton) Daly, 94, died Saturday, July 3.

She was born in Capron, Oklahoma on Jan. 2, 1916 to Robert and Ethel Throckmorton. In 1932, she moved to Wyoming and married Lawrence Edward Daly, where they raised eight children together.

In 1957, she and her family purchased land and moved to Escalon, CA. After her husband's death in 1967, Eva Mae worked many years in the canneries, on chicken ranches and briefly as a nurse's aide. In 1983, she retired to Idaho but returned to Escalon in 1989 to be closer to family. Eva Mae lived independently until the age of 90. She was best known for crocheting afghans for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, even after losing her sight.

Survivors include her six children: Larry (Shirley) Daly of Guernsey, WY, Sharon Fujii of Escalon, Michael (Lynn) Daly of Sydney, MT, Maureen (Kenneth) Baumbach of Escalon, Susan (Paul) Lukshin of Ceres, and Jack Daly of Oakdale; 29 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, 54 great great-grandchildren and one great great great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Lawrence (Larry) Daly, her brother Lester Throckmorton, her daughter Kathlee Ann Gibbs, and her son Patrick Ross Daly.

She will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial services will be held privately on July 24.
