Estelle Elizabeth Locatelli Swass, 88, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 1.

She was born April 3, 1925 in Oakdale, CA to John and Rose Locatelli.

She gave so much of herself to others. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, god-mother, cousin, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and friend.

Estelle was a homemaker all of her married life. She kept a beautiful home and always cooked great meals for her family. She loved working in her yard and redecorating her home. During the walnut season she helped her husband Francis by working on the walnut huller on the ranch.

On Nov. 11, 2010 Estelle and Francis moved from their ranch, where they had lived for 60 years, into Pacifica Senior Living facility in Modesto. Her husband Francis passed away Jan. 23, 2012 and Estelle continued living there until her death.

Survivors include her daughters, Sherrie (Bob) Fenstermacher and Carol (Jim) Kunisch; and grandson, Jonathan Fenstermacher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her sister, Maxine Valinoti.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Deegan Funeral Chapel.

A mass will be held on Friday, Dec. 13 at noon at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Escalon.
