Elbert Bolton

Elbert Wayne Bolton, 77, passed away on Wednesday, July 1 at his home in Escalon. He was born Aug. 15, 1931.

Mr. Bolton worked in the dairies for many years, and was a veteran of the Army serving from 1950 to 1953. He was a long time member at the Escalon Church of Christ. He was a kind and thoughtful man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed help.

Survivors include his three children, Steve Bolton of Escalon, Donna Walker of Arnold and Betty Jo Clark of Escalon; his siblings, Rusty Bolton of Visalia, Herb Bolton of Santa Maria, Royce Bolton of Waco, Texas, and Dorris Denny of Amarillo, Texas; his grandchildren Amanda Hurst of Madera, Alyssa Waite of Arnold, and Stacie Walker also of Arnold as well as his two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Joise Bolton; his wife Benie, whom he was married to for 56 years before she passed away on Nov. 26, 2008; and two grandchildren, Royce Clark and Cris Clark both of Escalon.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 8 at 10 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery, 28320 East River Road in Escalon.
