Douglas L. Mericle, 83, died Saturday, Nov. 15 in Modesto.
He was born in New York on Oct. 21, 1925.
Mr. Mericle was a World War II Navy veteran, serving four years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty; children, Shirley Nailen of Escalon and Robert (Jane) of Escalon; sister, Janet Gouger of New York; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 at Burwood Cemetery.
