Donald Howard Cox, 82, of Escalon died Sunday, June 22 due to a long illness.
He was born to Howard and Mary Jeannette Cox from Wisconsin.
He served in World War II and the Korean War.
He will be remembered for his wit, charm and love for whimsical poetry.
He is survived by his children, Linda Hicks, Nancy Wassel, Randy Cox, Steven Cox, and Cynthia Bellinger; stepchildren, Judy Coultress, Mark Grundahl, and Dee Dee Graham; sister, Lois Quale; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Cox; stepdaughters, Karen Coffey and Jean Gregg.
