Delma Jackson, 86, passed away at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson on Sunday, Feb. 22.

She was born on Jan. 11, 1923 in Colorado City Texas, and had been an Escalon resident for the past 60 years. She worked for the Escalon Post Office and Escalon Packers for many years. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who had a zest for life.

Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Chapman of Oakdale and Janice McDonald of Oregon; her siblings Florence Oswald of Modesto and Martin Coburn of CA; 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Raymond Jackson, who passed away in 2005 and her two sons, Roy Jackson and Bill Jackson.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Feb. 25 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin Street in Escalon. Graveside service will be on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery, 28320 East River Road in Escalon. On line register book available at www.deeganfuneralchapels.com.
