Historical Society seeking ‘Blue Jean Ball’ support
520 Barn

For the fourth year, members of the Escalon Historical Society will put on their festive fundraiser, the Blue Jean Ball. Date for this year’s event is Saturday, June 20 and tickets are available now.

The biggest change this year will be the dinner moving to a different venue, said Debbie Murken, one of the organizers. She said they will be putting on the fundraiser at Lorina’s Edible Garden – going ‘Back in a Barn’ for the festivities. Happy Hour begins at 5 p.m.; dinner is served at 6 p.m. and tickets are $65 per person.

Lorina’s Edible Garden is at 17397 Enterprise Road in Escalon. Tickets can be purchased at the Escalon Historical Society Museum during open hours, Wednesdays and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m.; or by contacting Sandy Russell at 209-838-1275.

“Dinner will be catered by BBQ in a Barrel,” Murken added.

Music during dinner will be performed by LilLana Cajias, while the after-dinner band, for the evening’s dancing and listening music, will be No Way Back. There will also be some door prizes and the chance for attendees to take part in some opportunity drawings.

Blue Jean Ball IV will raise funds for the scholarships provided through the Escalon Historical Society, as well as helping meet expenses at the Main Street museum location.
