Daniel James Morino passed away on July 2, 2022 at the age of 63. He was born on March 12, 1959 in Escalon CA, the second child to Jake and Chelestina Morino. Danny grew up in Ripon on the family ranch and attended Atlanta School, River School and Ripon Elementary, before attending Ripon High School and graduating in 1977. He had a passion for sports and played football, basketball and baseball.

As a young man, he helped with the family’s ranch while also working on other ranches around Ripon and Escalon. He also worked briefly at the Army Ammunition Plant in Riverbank before he started working at Delicato Family Vineyards in 1991. He was a Cellar supervisor and spent 29 years there. He loved the wine industry. Danny was involved in 4-H and FFA as a young man, and that is where he developed his passion for raising livestock. He and his brother Paul showed sheep and cattle and that led to their eventual partnership in the business, Morino Brothers Club Lambs. Danny was a 4-H leader for many, many years and loved working with the 4-H and FFA kids, helping them learn the ropes of raising and showing their livestock projects.

In 2003, he met Celeste Jones, and on November 20, 2004 they were married. They settled down on his ranch in Escalon and started a family. He loved watching his kids play sports and show sheep. When he wasn’t working, and depending on which season it was, you could find him enjoying a game of the San Francisco Giants, the Sacramento Kings, or the Buffalo Bills with his boys.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Chelestina (Farinelli) Morino, and his brother Paul. He leaves behind his wife Celeste, son Colten, son Cooper, daughter Cheyenne, sister Kathleen Davis (Steve), sister-in-law Carri Morino, and his in-laws Jerry and Stephanie Jones, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many lifelong friends so dear to him. He was a kind and gentle soul, who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Rosary at 6 p.m., at Deegan Memorial Chapel in Ripon.
