Charles Lawrence Sutton was born on January 11, 1929 in Phoenix, Arizona and entered into heaven on October 20, 2016. Chuck worked as a construction supervisor for Foster Farms and later owned his own construction business with his two sons, Steve and Mike. Though he was an accomplished building contractor, he had a passion for farming. Above all else was his love for his family. They meant the world to him and he always put their needs before his own. He has left a huge void that no one will ever be able to fill.
Chuck leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Arlene Florence Sutton, his children: Steve Sutton (Sidney Waldorf) of Escalon, Rita Ingeman (Ron) of Modesto, Mike Sutton (Sandy) of Escalon, and Charlene Sutton (Tony Victorino) of Escalon. Chuck also leaves behind his 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, along with his sister, Vera Newell of Falmouth, MA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon. Donations in Chuck’s name may be made to a charity of choice.
