Carl Eugene Reece, 85, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013.
He was born on Feb. 14, 1928 in Parlier, CA, and was raised by his Grandma and Grandpa Reece on a dairy farm in Escalon.
He lived on a ranch in Stockton with his wife Patricia for the last 44 years. He retired after 35 years with Local 36 of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union. He and Patricia then proudly owned and operated several different businesses in Northern California over the past 25 years.
In recent years, Carl enjoyed staying home and running his tractor and John Deere “Gator” around the property each day. He felt very blessed for his wife of 44 years and family. He always mentioned his son Albert and two grandsons Albert Jr. and Ronnie Jr. who had “taken up the pipe wrench,” as he called it. He was always a hard worker and strongly believed in giving “a full 8 hours’ work for 8 hours’ pay”. His son Albert was his number one right-hand man for so many years, helping with “fixing all.”
Survivors include his wife, Patricia S. Reece; sons Ronald Reece and Albert Reece of Stockton; grandchildren Albert Reece Jr., Suzanna (Richard) Valles, Stephanie Reece, Ronnie Reece Jr., all of Stockton, Zach (Mari) Brooks of Glendora, CA, and Scott (Eri) Brooks of Tottori, Japan; and six wonderful great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Sue Brooks, and his parents.
There will be a service on Friday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Flowers in the Sierra View Mausoleum on 831 Industrial Way, in Cherokee Memorial Park (Harney Lane and Highway 99), Lodi.
