Billy Ray Lynn (Bill), 79, passed away on Oct. 16, 2008. He was born in Elmore City, OK to Elmer and Eleanor Lynn on May 16, 1929.

His family moved to Katie, OK where they made their living farming. In 1945 they moved to California to the Tracy-Vernalis area where he attended Tracy High School. He drove truck until his retirement as a Teamster in 1986. In 1967 he moved to the Escalon-Oakdale area, residing in Farmington for the past 10 years.

His many interests and accomplishments were earning his Pilot's License, owner of Bill Lynn Trucking, building and running the Walnut Avenue Bull Riding/Calf Roping Club, member of the Charolais Breeders Association. He was a proud member of the International Order of Odd Fellows, Loyal Order of Moose Manteca Post, Ben Ali Shiners Lodge 256, Escalon Shriners, Ben Ali Motorcycle Club, VFW Auxiliary Post, Ripon and The Over-The-Hill Breakfast Club.

He will be missed by all for his true friendship, generosity and his joy of living life to the fullest.

He is survived by two sisters, Patty Hansen of Los Banos and Coleen Bianchi (Don) of Tracy; his aunt La Homa Phillips of French Camp; his two sons, Terry Lynn (Linda) of Escalon and Randall Lynn (Robyn) of Oakdale. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Jacoba Peichoto (Joel) of Turlock, Andrea Barnett (Sean) of Modesto, Jake Lynn of Oakdale, Brian Lynn of Modesto and Philip Lynn of Oakdale.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, Oct 23 at 10 a.m. at the Valley Home Memorial Park, 30705 East Lone Tree Road, Valley Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Bill Lynn to the Shriner's Children Hospital.
