Attilio (Petie) Betti aka. Robert Bennett was born to Giovana and Louis Betti on November 23, 1924 at their home on River Road in Escalon, Ca.  He died on February 27, 2019 in Redlands, Ca. 


 He attended and graduated from Burwood Grammar School and Escalon High School.  After graduation he joined the U.S. Army Air Corp, was stationed in Europe during World War ll.  His plane was shot down over Belgium. Found his way back to England and was awarded a Purple Heart.  After his time in the service he married and settled in Southern California raising his family there.  He owned and operated the Redlands Sewing Machine Center.  


He is survived by his wife Betty, son, Stephen Bennett (Josie) of Long Beach, Gayle Vallejo of Modesto, and Randy Bennett (Lindsay) of Sonoma, stepdaughters Sandi Cavanaugh and Debbie Bennett of Redlands, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  He also leaves behind brothers Bob Betti (Jeanne) of Santa Cruz, Leo Betti of Oroville and sister Evelyn Swass of Escalon. Surviving also are countless nieces and nephews.  


He is preceded in death by his parents Giovanna and Louis Betti, siblings Sylvia Piccoli, Irma Bailey, Charlie Betti, Guido Betti and Virginia Cova.  A celebration of his life will be held at a future date in Redlands, Ca.
