Anthony David Vrh, 45, of Modesto passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Born April 28, 1963, he was a graduate of Escalon High School and received his Bachelor of Arts from Chico State University. He received his Masters of Fine Art from the University of Idaho, Moscow.

His lifelong passions included art, aeronautical history, especially WWII, and spending time hiking in the serenity and beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. His influence in the world of art will be missed. He was a gentle and caring man, with an always thoughtful and quiet spirit.

Mr. Vrh worked for Hunt Paving of Modesto.

Survivors include his children, Lillian and Camillia of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; his mother, JoAnn Williams of Houma, LA; his father and stepmother, Errol and Susan Vrh of Mt. Shasta, CA; his sister and niece, Suzanne and Mary Jane Garrett of Hickory, NC; his brother, Michael Vrh of Chandler, AZ; and his sister and her family, Kerrie and Reggie Redmond, Megan, Ian and Christopher.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Irvin and Bessie Vrh of Turlock; and his sister, Wendy Nicole Williams of Modesto.

A special thanks is extended to the medical community of Modesto and Turlock for the wonderful care and concern they always gave to Mr. Vrh.

A celebration of life was held Monday, Nov. 17 at Franklin and Downs Funeral Home, Modesto.
