She was born on July 13, 1923 in Turlock.

Mrs. Gomes was a lifetime resident of Escalon. She was a 50-year member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Being a homemaker was very important to her. She enjoyed her many travels throughout her lifetime to Hawaii, Aruba, Belize, the Grand Caymans and the Azores. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother and an amazing grandmother. She will be missed.
