A.J. Meyers, 84, of Riverbank, died Friday, Sept. 6, of natural causes, surrounded by his family.

A business owner and operator of 60 years at Meyers Shoe Shop and Saddlery, he touched and influenced many lives in and around the state of California, and other parts of the world.

Survivors include his wife Donna; daughter Kathi and son-in-law Jeff; daughter-in-law Karen; grandchildren Ric, Rachel, Chris, Jason, and Josi.

He was preceded in death by his son, Rick Meyers.

Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 12 at Riverbank Memorial Chapel from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Services will be Friday, Sept. 13 at noon. Burial to follow at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon, reception to be held at Riverbank Community Center.

The shop in Riverbank will be open on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
