Wind Advisory In Effect Through Sunday Afternoon

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has enacted a wind advisory, which will remain in effect through 5 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time on Sunday, April 10.

Affected areas are: Southern Sacramento Valley, Central Sacramento Valley, Northern Sacramento Valley, Northern San Joaquin Valley and Carquinez Strait and Delta Counties

North/northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are possible. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

The gusty north winds are expected across the Valley and portions of the Delta through tomorrow. The strongest winds will be in the Sacramento Valley where localized gusts up to 50 mph will be possible.
