Escalon Chamber of Commerce President Pat Brown, at left, greets residents coming in to bring some documents for shredding at the Saturday event hosted at the Main Street Park ‘n Ride in conjunction with Casey Moving Systems as Demetrius Crayton handles the shredding duties. Also on hand for the Oct. 23 event were members of Escalon Cub Scout Pack 263, which was accepting bottles and cans for recycling. Brown said they were extremely pleased with the shredding day and are planning to do another one in the spring.
