Volunteers Sought For County Posts

The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors is seeking volunteers to serve on several boards and commissions. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, June 12. The Board of Supervisors will consider qualified applications, received on or before the deadline, at the Board meeting of July 7, 2020.

All members appointed by the Board of Supervisors will be required to attend training. Training dates and registration information will be provided by the Clerk of the Board upon appointment.

Commission on Aging – Two positions; all members must live in San Joaquin County. If appointed, members will be asked to complete a Form 700 – Statement of Economic Interest.

Housing Authority Board – One position; must be a resident of San Joaquin County.

Workforce Development Board – Two positions, including one Fourth Supervisorial District (including Escalon and Farmington) Representative of Local Business, including business owners, chief executives or operating officers of businesses, and other business executives including human resources executives, with optimum policy making or hiring authority. Business representatives shall reflect employment opportunities in the local area and be appointed from among those individuals nominated by local business organizations and business trade associations.
