Collegeville Elementary School celebrated its kindergarten and fifth grade classes of 2026 with promotion ceremonies on Wednesday, May 27. Both events were very well attended by family members, happy to share in the pomp and circumstance of the moment.

“During the promotion ceremonies, students were also recognized for excellence in Reading, Math, Good Citizenship, and Perfect Attendance,” explained Collegeville Principal Dr. George Megenney.

In addition, seven fifth-grade English Learners took and passed the challenging ELPAC (English Learner Proficiency Assessments for California), and received special recognition during the event.

Similarly, Farmington Elementary kindergarten and fifth graders donned green and gold promotion robes on Thursday, May 28, in a joint ceremony that was also well attended by members of the Farmington community.

While the kindergarten students will be returning to their Collegeville and Farmington campuses in August, the fifth grade honorees will be moving on to start sixth grade at El Portal Middle School.
