Several agencies combined to apprehend a vehicle theft suspect in Escalon on Saturday night, Feb. 12.

According to authorities, the suspect in a stolen vehicle case, crashed the vehicle and then fled the scene. Escalon Police, San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department and CHP personnel were all involved in the search. The suspect fled into the area of Miller and Escalon avenues and was later apprehended after a search, found in an orchard northeast of North Street.
