Crews were busy at Escalon’s Engel Field/Memorial Stadium complex recently, with concrete being smoothed out after being poured in front of the home stands. The field preparations are also continuing prior to the placement of new Bermudagrass on the football field and officials are hopeful it could be ready for use before the end of the fall 2023 football season. However, all games through Oct. 6 are currently scheduled on the road; it is still to be determined if the Cougars will have a true ‘home’ field this coming season.
