Members of the Escalon Parks Foundation, including Michael Roark, shown here, were busy staffing the fireworks booth in the Escalon Center parking lot in front of D’Boni’s Pizza over the last several days. Sales began Thursday, June 28 and wrap up on the Fourth of July. Proceeds from the sale of the TNT fireworks at this booth, said Roark, will benefit the Escalon Skatepark Project. A design has been completed, the group is working with a grant writer and a builder has been selected, Dreamland Skateparks out of Portland, Oregon. Other booths around the community benefited the Escalon Ag Boosters, Escalon Sports Boosters and Escalon Covenant Church.
