It was a sunny Saturday at Hogan-Ennis Park in Escalon on April 23, with many teams continuing their seasons in the city’s recreational baseball and softball program. Many families settled in to enjoy games, including the crowd for the Minors game featuring the Giants and Blue Jays. Among those on hand were Tori Rich, Pop Randy Porter, Jenny Rich, Tucker the dog and Gram Pat Porter, cheering on JD Rich of the Giants. Elsewhere in the park, mom Katie Anderson utilized one of the new bathrooms at the park to wash her nine-month-old daughter Adeline’s hands during a break in the action of a girls softball game. Play on the local diamonds continues for the next few weeks; soccer sign-ups are also underway through the city’s Recreation Department.
