Sacramento Leadership Experience For Hagglund
Madison Hagglund

Madison Hagglund, a senior at Escalon High School and the Vice President of the Escalon FFA Chapter, had the opportunity to apply to the Sacramento Leadership Conference in Sacramento. Only 75 seniors in the state of California are awarded the opportunity to attend this prestigious conference, which is scheduled for Feb. 22 through 25, 2022. At California FFA’s capstone conference, individuals and teams are prepared to make things happen. Skills for solving problems, making decisions, and accomplishing goals are developed. Students step into the role of one of California’s State Legislators, are assigned a specific California district, and spend four days in Sacramento. SLE is all about the role of government, agricultural policy, and advocacy. This conference focuses on “DO: the ability of the individual leader and team to put their vision into action.”

Hagglund explained that she will learn about solving problems, making decisions, and accomplishing goals. She said she wanted to go as she wants to learn more about the role of government in agriculture and how government policies affect those in agriculture. The conference will give her the opportunity to better her leadership abilities and learn more about agriculture. We offer her congratulations on this awesome opportunity.
