A successful experiment for the City of Escalon will mark its second anniversary in October; RV parking and storage space behind the City Hall facility in the 2000 block of McHenry Avenue. The RV slots are currently full. City Manager Tammy Alcantor said that there are 32 slots; rental fees are $50 a month for under 30’ and $75 per space a month for vehicles over 30’ (spaces limited). The city does require a $100 deposit for each space, and monthly payments are made through automatic withdrawals. The program started in October 2018 as a way to make use of the area behind the building as well as make a little money for city coffers.
