Monthly meetings continue for the Relay For Life of Greater Stanislaus County; the next session is set for Thursday, May 26. Team captains, as well as team members and anyone interested in taking part in the American Cancer Society fundraiser in October are welcome to attend.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the North Modesto Church of God, 1918 Sherwood Ave., Modesto. The goal is to have every team registered for the event be represented at the team captain meeting. The meeting runs about an hour and offers plenty of information about the Relay itself, fundraising ideas, updates on activities and more.

Relay is scheduled Oct. 8 and 9 at John Thurman Field in Modesto and will include teams from several Stanislaus County communities in addition to some neighboring communities in San Joaquin County.
