An ‘Escalon Pizza Night’ is being planned as a special Sober Grad fundraiser, with the event set for Tuesday, May 13 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to support the 2025 Escalon Sober Grad event for high school graduates, by taking the evening off from cooking and eating some pizza.

Three Escalon pizza parlors are participating; you can dine in or place an order for pick-up at D’Boni’s Pizza, Pizza Plus or Mountain Mikes.

“State that you’re supporting the Sober Grad Fundraiser and they will be donating 25 percent of the orders back to us,” said Sober Grad coordinator Krysten Lial.

Lial said since there wasn’t the traditional Sober Grad drive-thru tri tip dinner fundraiser this year, they were looking for a new way to raise some funds and felt the pizza night would be a fun change of pace.

“Logistically and financially, we could not make it work due to the cost of meat,” Lial explained of the drive-thru dinner. “We thought to make up a bit of the lost funds that we would do a pizza night.”
