A Conversation with Central Valley native Dr. Joseph I. Castro, Eighth Chancellor of the CSU.

A first-generation college graduate and long-time champion for public higher education, Dr. Castro will serve as the eighth chancellor of the CSU, the first California native and Mexican American. He will begin his duties as chancellor Jan. 4, 2021.

Stan State student Robin Fredeking earns CSU Trustees’ Award

Robin Fredeking, who dreams of one day working as a family nurse practitioner in the Turlock region, is Stanislaus State’s recipient of California State University’s 2020 Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Achievement.

Forum to Address Support, Retention of Faculty of Color at Stan State

The Office of Faculty Affairs will host a half-day virtual forum to discuss and develop strategies to support and retain faculty of color at Stanislaus State. “Centering Faculty of Color: Building a Critical Campus for Social Change,” will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2 via Zoom.
