The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors is currently seeking volunteers to serve on a couple of boards and commissions. Supervisors will consider qualified applications, received on or before the Friday, Feb. 16 deadline, at the Board meeting of March 26.
All members appointed by the Board of Supervisors will be required to attend training. Training dates and registration information will be provided by the Clerk of the Board upon appointment.
Two positions are open on the Housing Authority Board. Applicants must be a resident of San Joaquin County. Appointments will be made at the conclusion of a public interview by the Board of Supervisors. If appointed, members will be asked to complete a Form 700 – Statement of Economic Interest. There is one opening for a tenant registered with the Housing Authority, and an opening for one commissioner.
Also needed is one director to serve on the Resource Conservation District board. Qualified applicants must be registered voters in California and reside within the District and either own real property in the District or alternatively have served pursuant to the District’s rules, for two years or more as an Associate Director providing advisory or other assistance to the Board of Directors, or be a designated agent of a resident landowner within the District.
