Members sought for seats on multiple county boards

The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors is seeking volunteers to serve on several boards and commissions. Supervisors will consider qualified applications, received on or before the June 6 deadline at the county board meeting of July 29, 2025. All newly appointed members will be required to attend training.

Training dates and registration information will be provided by the Clerk of the Board upon appointment.

Following is a look at the available posts.

 

Building Board of Appeals – One position. Qualified applicants cannot be an elected officer nor an employee of San Joaquin County, but they will not be disqualified by membership on, or employment by another Board, Commission, Agency or Authority of, or created by or for San Joaquin County. Applicants must be a resident of San Joaquin County. If appointed, members will be asked to complete a Form 700 – Statement of Economic Interest. One Licensed Engineer position is available.

 

Council for Quality Education and Care of Children – One position. All new applicants must complete a supplemental application prior to being appointed and must attend one Council for Quality Education and Care of Children regular meeting within the three months prior to being appointed to the Council. Qualified applicants must live, work, or receive childcare services in San Joaquin County. One Child Care Provider Representative position is available on the board.

 

Workforce Development Board – One position. Qualified applicants must submit a supplemental form, signed by a nominating agency, along with an application for the available position: One Adult Education and Literacy Representative.
