Meet And Greet BBQ Scheduled For Elliott

Current San Joaquin County Supervisor Bob Elliott, who represents District 5, has announced a run for Congress and will be hosted at a special event on Saturday, Aug. 31 in Escalon.

All are welcome to attend a free barbecue and meet and greet with the candidate, set at the Escalon Azores Hall, 1436 First St., Escalon, running from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to Ed Alves at ealves95320@gmail.com or call 209-996-7757; that way organizers will know roughly how many people to expect.

Alves, Nick Bavaro and Dennis Borba are hosts of the event. Elliott represents the cities of Manteca, Lathrop and Tracy, as well as the Mountain House area, on the county board. He lives in Tracy and has declared his candidacy for Congress in the 10th Congressional District.
