The City of Escalon is developing a Transit Service Plan for its eTrans public transportation service. The city is hosting a workshop on transit choices from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 17.

This workshop is expected to raise some difficult and interesting choices about what kind of services the city should provide. Some of the questions that will be explored are:

What goals and requirements does eTrans need to meet?

Should eTrans retain its bus-based system, or switch to a different type of service (such as subsidies for taxis, Uber or Lyft rides)?

If eTrans remains a bus-based system, should eTrans retain its current operating pattern, or should it change?
