School District Recognizes Multiple Retiring Employees

Several Escalon Unified School District employees closed out their careers with the end of the 2016-17 school year, representing years of service in the educational field.

Retirees recognized at a special reception just before the end of the school year included:

Debbie Ainsworth, secretary, Vista; Nancy Brayton-John, kindergarten teacher, Dent; Bupinder Dosanjh, business teacher, Escalon High School; Alvin Hobby, physical education, El Portal Middle School; Marlin Moreno, teacher, Vista. Also, Jennifer Klessens, kindergarten teacher, Van Allen; Sandy Pendley, counselor, Vista, Escalon High School; Lupe Roberts, instructional assistant, Dent; Theresa Adrian, administrative assistant, Dent; Denise Nassano, second grade teacher, Collegeville; Evelyn Van Dyk, snack bar manager, Escalon High School; Sarah Nelson, food service clerk, multiple sites.

A trio of district employees also received honors for their work, with Frank Galli named as the Escalon Unified School District Classified Employee of the Year, Erin Headley as the EUSD Certificated Employee of the Year and John Lial, with the district’s transportation department, earning a San Joaquin County Classified Employee of the Year award.
