Non-Profit Groups Invited To Stockton Ports Workshop
baseball1

On Friday, April 8, the Stockton Ports will be holding their first fundraising workshop, open to all local non-profit organizations with a valid non-profit status.

Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. exclusively for attendees of the workshop, when they will have the opportunity to learn about different ways they can not only fundraise, but also gain exposure, for their organizations through the Ports’ non-profit fundraising program. Additionally, attendees will be able to talk with previous participants of the fundraising program.

For questions or to register your non-profit for the workshop, contact the Ports’ Community and Public Relations Manager, Kellie Ryan, at 209-644-1953 or kryan@stocktonports.com.

Each non-profit that attends the workshop will receive two (2) MVP tickets for the game immediately following the informational session, the chance to have a representative throw out a first pitch that evening, and will be entered to win a suite to a future game. At the end of the 2016 season one organization that participated in the Ports’ fundraising program will be randomly selected to win a $1,000 grant courtesy of the Stockton Ports Anchor Fund, the team’s non-profit sector.

With the Ports’ fundraising program, non-profits may purchase discounted tickets at $4 off the general gameday price. When resold at the gameday price, organizations have the ability to raise $4 per ticket, totaling $400+ with a minimum of 100 tickets sold. In 2015, with eleven participating non-profits, the Ports assisted in the organizations raising a combined total of over $5,300.

“The Ports are excited to be hosting this workshop which will ultimately benefit our local non-profits,” said General Manager Bryan Meadows. “We truly believe this will be a great opportunity for those organizations in our community.”
