Escalon 4-H has had a very busy summer.

Members raising animals exhibited at Agfest and did really well.

They also had a member taking her animal and exhibiting at the California State Fair. Addison Tenenti took her Brown Swiss Yearling Calf to the Fair. She took fourth place in the Junior 4-H Showmanship as well as fifth place in the Spring Yearling Heifer Open Class, and placed second in the Junior Division.

Additional information from Agfest: Haylee Castro was inadvertently left off the listing of those members who exhibited at Agfest for the Dairy category. Haylee placed third in the Intermediate Showmanship class, took first place in Class and Reserve Junior Champion with her Red Holstein Heifer.

Escalon 4-H is announcing the beginning of its 2017-18 club year which begins with their first meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at the Van Allen School cafeteria. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.

All returning members and new members are invited to enroll by going online to California 4honline.com. For any questions concerning enrollment or information about the 4-H, contact Dorothy at 209-614-0403 or escalon4h@gmail.com.
