The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various road construction activities on Interstate 5 (I-5) from French Camp Slough to Monte Diablo Avenue in San Joaquin County this week. Work will occur as follows:
The #1 (left), #2 (middle), #3 (right) lanes, right and left shoulders on northbound and southbound I-5 from French Camp Slough to Alpine Avenue will alternately close continuing now through Friday, April 8 from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.;
The #1 (left), #2 (middle), #3 (right) lanes on southbound I-5 from Downing Avenue to State Route 4/Charter Way will alternately close through Friday, April 8 from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.;
The #1 (left), #2 (middle), #3 (right) lanes on northbound and southbound I-5 from Pershing Avenue to Alpine Avenue will alternately close through Thursday, April 7 from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.;
The northbound and southbound on and off-ramps on I-5 from Pershing Avenue to Alpine Avenue will alternately close through Thursday, April 7 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.;
The northbound and southbound on and off-ramps on I-5 from Charter Way to Downing Avenue will alternately close through Friday, April 8 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Also, the northbound and southbound connector ramps from I-5 to SR-4/Crosstown Freeway will alternately close now through Thursday, April 7 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.;
The #1 (left), #2 (middle), #3 (right) lanes on southbound I-5 from Alpine Avenue to Monte Diablo Avenue will alternately close beginning Friday, April 8 through Sunday, April 10 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
Construction is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and construction related issues.
