Limited Demand-Response Bus Service Due For July 4

On Independence Day, Monday, July 4, San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) will not operate regular fixed route bus services (Stockton Metro, Metro Express, Intercity, Hopper, and San Joaquin Commuter) and Dial-A-Ride services. Additionally, RTD administrative offices and the Downtown Transit Center (DTC) will be closed.

A limited, demand-response service will be available by reservation only on a first-come, first-served basis at a fare of $5 per one-way trip for RTD’s customers. Priority will be given to seniors and persons with disabilities.

Reservations will be accepted through Thursday, June 30 at 5 p.m. Reservations will be limited to one round trip per passenger. For reservations, please call (209) 955-8400.

This service will be operated by RTD’s contractor.

RTD will resume regularly scheduled service and reopen its administrative offices and the DTC on Tuesday, July 5.
