Legion Post Prepares For Memorial Day

It will be a very busy Memorial Day schedule for members of the Escalon American Legion Post and the Legion Riders, as the Gustafson-Thompson Post members take part in four different ceremonies.

Monday, May 29 is Memorial Day and the local Legion members will start their day at Burwood Cemetery for a 10 a.m. Honor Guard service at the flagpole just inside the gates of the cemetery on River Road.

From there, they will host a service at St. John’s Cemetery adjacent to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, corner of Highway 120 and Carrolton Road, at 11 a.m.

The third service of the day will be staged at noon at the Farmington Cemetery along Escalon-Bellota Road and they will wrap up the day with a fourth Honor Guard service at the Valley Home Memorial Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
