Escalon Police Department deployed a couple of radar trailers recently, with this 30 mph posted speed limit tracker set up along First Street near El Portal Middle School and the other directly in front of Dent Elementary on Yosemite, with a posted limit of 25 mph. Citizen complaints about speeding vehicles prompted placement of the trailers, with the goal to slow motorists down in the school zones to help keep children safe.
