The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is preparing to begin a traffic safety project that will install stop signs at the intersection of northbound and southbound Frontage Road and the Morada Lane off-ramp from northbound State Route 99.

This work is being done to improve the efficiency of travel and traffic safety at this intersection and to reduce the number of broad-side collisions.

During installation, one-way traffic control along Frontage Road will be utilized along with a scheduled closure of the Morada Lane off-ramp from northbound SR-99.

Work is scheduled to occur on Saturday, Feb. 17 from 7 a.m. until noon.

Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

Work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials and construction related issues.

For the safety of workers and other motorists, remember to Slow For the Cone Zone.
